Darren Bravo maintained his nerve to steer the Trinidad Red Steel to a thrilling four wicket win over the Guyana Amazon Warriors last night in the Caribbean Premier League T20 series.
Needing six off the last ball, Bravo delivered with a massive hit off Ronsford Beaton to end what was a pulsating contest at the Queen’s Park Oval in Trinidad.
Earlier, the Amazon Warriors had rattled up an impressive 179/5 off their allotted overs on the back of Captain Denesh Ramdin’s masterful 84. Jimmy Neesham chipped in with 33. Samuel Badree impressed with 3 for 13.
When they batted, the Red Steel appeared to be in deep trouble until the Bravo brothers Dwayne and Darren stuck together for a 131-run partnership. Krishmar Santokie took 3 for 36.
