CP Got Even produced a powerful late surge to win the feature D1 and Lower Mile and Distance event of the Horse Owners of Guyana meet yesterday at Port Mourant.
The Dark Brown mare ridden by champion jockey, Andy Ramnauth, led favourite Jack In My Style by a length with Red and Lovely a close third.
For the win, CP Got Even’s handlers, the R. N Poonai Stables pocketed a hefty $1M.
Passion For Song, the outsider of the seven-strong field, made the running until being overtaken on the first turn.
Red and Lovely and Jack In My Style stole a march on the pack to lead into the final straight.
But the Colin Elcock trained steed, surged past the pair to take the win.
