The PNCR must exemplify transparency before calling for it in others

Dear Editor,

The open dissatisfaction by numerous PNCR members, relative to the election of a PNCR leader, could result in that party daubing or staining itself with its own brush.

Many observers held the view that the process was flawed, which had caused many delegates to be disenfranchised and which led to top candidates withdrawing.

This negative reaction could be a blow to the PNCR’s constant call for transparency. This call now looks like a boomerang which has struck the party. Integrity and transparency should be exemplified by the party and seen clearly by members and supporters, before it is called for in other parties and the national administration.

I am urged to ask if the PNCR will appoint a committee of investigation to deal with the dissatisfaction over the conduct of the balloting process relative to the party leadership held recently at Congress Place.

Yours faithfully,
George Carrington
