The Port Mourant Cricket Club (PMCC) in partnership with the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCY&S) bowled off their one week summer camp on Tuesday for youths aged 12-25 years.
The camp got underway with an overview by Region #6 Culture, Youth and Sport Officer, Omeshwar Sirikishun, while other guest speakers touched on topics related to the responsibilities of young Guyanese, topics which are set at improving academic prowess along with that of cricket relations.
There will also be a cricketing skills session while topics such as etiquette, grooming, public speaking, fire prevention tips, development value of youth in Guyana and respect for the elderly will also be part of the programme.
Approximately 60 participants are expected to be a part of the camp, which will see certificates being awarded along with trophies for outstanding performances.
