An Albouystown resident is now a patient of the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH) after being shot in the chest during a robbery outside his business place.
Joel Sullivan, 35, remains in a critical condition and has undergone lengthy surgery. According to reports, the man had been closing his business place on James Street, Albouystown at around 10.30 pm when he was attacked by a gun-wielding bandit. The man, it is said, demanded Sullivan’s possessions. However, the businessman resisted and was subsequently shot.
The thief managed to escape.
Up to press time, Sullivan was still in the theatre of the GPH. According to residents, the man’s business is a small one in front of his home that has been around for some time now.
