Victims of the fatal car collision at Taymouth Manor public road on Saturday that claimed the life of Ivan Belvin Benn, are all still hospitalized.
Rodwel Spellen, 34, of Lot 161 Richmond, Essequibo Coast is nursing a fractured right leg at the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH). Meanwhile Anthony Haynes, 39, of 177 Grove Housing Scheme, Kurt Walcott, 22, and Lynden Marks, 24, both of Queenstown, Essequibo, are all hospitalized at the Suddie Hospital. Nandy Benons was released from the hospital after being treated.
Spellen previously told this newspaper that he observed a donkey on the road and swerved to avoid a collision but ended up in the path of the vehicle driven by Benn. However, yesterday he said he will not be commenting until the police conclude the investigation into the incident.
The head-on collision resulted in all the occupants of the cars being injured and they were rushed to the Suddie Hospital. Spellen, Benons and Benn were subsequently air-dashed to the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH). Benn on the other hand died on the way to the medical institution.
Spellen was the driver of motor car PNN 745 and Benn drove motor car PHH 4683.
