Described as a dispatch from a small state diplomat, former Foreign Affairs Minister Dr. Rudy Insanally yesterday launched his book ‘Dancing Between the Raindrops’ the Guyana Pegasus Hotel
The Government Information Agency said that Foreign Affairs Minister Carolyn Rodrigues-Birkett, who previewed a copy of the book said it not only recaps incidents and circumstances that led to Dr. Insanally’s diplomatic career which lasted from 1963 to 2008, but also illustrated the diplomatic axiom of “letting others have his way”.
Insanally described the title as a reflection of the efforts of the local Foreign Service in the years after independence, which saw them doing a lot with limited resources.
“We felt as if we were always under pressure and going from one thing to another”, GINA reported him as saying.
