An 81-year-old woman was beaten and robbed by two teenagers, who later set her Ann’s Grove home on fire on Tuesday night.
Dorrel Canterbury is now hospitalised at the Georgetown Public Hospital after sustaining injuries to her head. When Stabroek News visited her yesterday, she was too ill to speak. Her face was swollen and she was barely whispering to relatives when they tried to speak with her.
According to her relatives, Canterbury was in her kitchen when two brazen youths jumped through her window and attacked her.
