Following Saturday’s bizarre conclusion of the 2014 Limacol Caribbean Premier League (LCPL) T20 competition where a series of mindboggling incidents eventually led to the Barbados Tridents being crowned champions, the Guyana Amazon Warriors were expected to return home last evening.
The game which ended in a strange manner after officials eventually called off the game with 4.1 overs remaining and the Warriors needing 46 runs from 25 balls in their chase of 152, has led to an appeal launched by the Guyana team. When the Tridents batted there were two rain interruptions at the end of the seventh over and one during the 12th, but they still managed to bat out their full quota of 20 overs.
After a relatively slow and watchful start, the Warriors were 107 for
