Eighty-one year-old Dorrel Canterbury, who was beaten and robbed by two persons who later set her Ann’s Grove house on fire last week, has been released from the Georgetown Public Hospital.
The elderly woman was discharged on Tuesday, after being hospitalised for a week. Her nephew, William Canterbury, said he decided to take his aunt into his home as she was still shaken up by the attack. Last Tuesday, Canterbury was making tea in her kitchen when her attackers jumped through her window and beat her. She escaped and called out for assistance from a neighbour while they later raided her home for valuables.
