Pollards Et Filles (Guyana) Inc, an equity and bond fund, hosted its official office opening in Kitty last month with special invited guests from the UK and the across the Caribbean.
According to a press release, Pollards Et Filles is a total return equity and bond fund that profits from opportunities in Early, Frontier markets including Guyana, the Caribbean and Latin America by investing in publically traded stocks and bonds.
“Their approach incorporates economic models, high-end technology and quantitative investment methods to achieve strong investment returns,” the press statement said. The office is an ideal setting for a fund run by a “highly qualified team with more than 40 years of investment banking, hedge fund and central banking experience between them.”
Managing Director David Pollard studied Applied Maths at Cambridge University and has a PhD in Theoretical Physics from Imperial College, London. He has managed portfolios of Caribbean stocks since 2006.
