Post Office apologises to pensioners

The Guyana Post Office Corporation (GPOC) wishes to respond to the Stabroek News’ August 22, 2014, article captioned, ‘Pensioners forced to wait five hours at Bourda Post Office.’
Management would like to sincerely apologise for the inconvenience pensioners experienced while transacting business at the aforementioned post office. There is definitely no conceivable explanation to describe this level of service which has been totally against the corporation’s customer care standards.  Please be advised that GPOC will put all measures in place to ensure that there are no recurrences and appropriate disciplinary action will be taken against any delinquent staff.
GPOC remains committed to ensuring that the public receives efficient services at the least inconvenience. Customers are further advised to report all queries at telephone numbers 226-3127, 227-7494 or 226-9836.
