The Ministry of Local Government yesterday received a series of bids for major rehabilitation works and for the extension of markets across the country.
Tenders for the projects, which were divided into seven lots, were opened at the National Procurement and Tender Administration Board which is located in the Ministry of Finance Compound at Main and Urquhart streets, Georgetown.
The works range from fencing the markets in some communities to extending the market space in others.
The companies and their bids for the respective lots are shown in the table below.
Meanwhile the Ministry of Tourism received bids for the procurement of a new land cruiser for use in that ministry.
The Ministry of Public Works received bids for the rehabilitation of laterite roads from Wainaina Bridge to Yarakita and from Santa Rosa, Kwebana, Aquero to Waramuri in Region 1.
