Golden Jaguars International Walter `Boyd’ Moore said the focus of the local football fraternity should be on the players and not the administration because without the players, there is no football to govern.
Speaking during an exclusive interview, the FC Vostok fullback said:”We need to stop looking at the administration and start focusing on the players because at the end of the day without the players, there is no administration and game.
“We need to give these youngsters a chance.
This is there opportunity to showcase their talents and you never know what would happen,” he added.
According to Moore “Everybody has an idea of what they want. He (GFF President) is trying to implement his idea. Some people
wouldn’t like or agree with it but he is in charge and we have to go with it and try to support him”.
Questioned if overseas players should have included in the national setup, Moore said:”For me it would be a plus to get the guys because these guys are professional players who add something to the team.’
He added:”This is my opinion, if I could have I would have brought them. That is just my opinion and it is what it is”.
Quizzed about his thoughts on the composition of the local setup, he said “It’s a beginning, these are players with talent and they need to be groomed properly and need more exposure. We have to get some more games to gain the experience. It’s a start and we got to begin from somewhere”.
Asked about his thoughts on the team’s chances, Moore said:”To be honest we are as good as any of the other teams because at the end of day, football is played on the day of the game. We have to show that we want it more at that point in time.
“The guys just got to get the right motivation and attitude and anything could happen on the day,” he said.
