Government’s holding company, NICIL will once again act as facilitator for the sale of a property owned by the State Planning Secretariat (SPS).
The dilapidated property located at 575 High Palm Road, South Ruimveldt Gardens, is currently up for sale once again and will be sold under a tendering process.
According to an advertisement placed in the last Sunday Chronicle, all tenders must be submitted by September 19 and all interested parties must register with the National Industrial and Commercial Investments Limited (NICIL) and obtain a tender package. The ad noted that each tender package will be inclusive of a letter of authority to visit the location, a draft agreement of sale and purchase and vesting order and details of the property including ownership documents.
When Stabroek News visited the property yesterday, neighbours stated that at the beginning of the year the entrance had been barred up with sheets of zinc preventing access by vagrants and persons who were stripping the property of building materials.
One resident in the vicinity told Stabroek News that police officers would usually check the property, but since it has been boarded up no one has passed by.
