Jonathan Foo smoked a blistering 99 in the second of three Berbice Cricket Board (BCB) trials as the Narsingh Deonarine XI defeated the Anthony Bramble XI by 71 runs at the Albion Sports Complex on Wednesday.
The ex-National T20 player smashed six fours and four sixes in his top score steering his team to a formidable 200 for 5 after being asked to bat first in a match reduced to 30 overs a side due to heavy overnight rain. Seon Hetmyer scored 36 while skipper Bramble chipped in with 20.
Bowling for Deonarine’s XI, Devon Clements picked up two wickets for his team who were shot down for 129. Kandasammy Surujnarine top scored with 33 and national all-rounder Romario Shepherd scored 22.
Steven Latcha (3-20) and Shawn Perreira (2-23), did the bulk of the damage.
