The driver who crashed into the under-construction house at Bagotstown on Saturday morning has agreed to pay the owner, Debbie Kaladeen, for the damage caused.
Lawyers have been called in to draft an agreement today.
There has been no indication from the police as to whether charges are likely to be instituted.
The driver, identified to that family as Nigel Haymer of Westminster, West Bank Demerara crashed into the unfinished house at Bagotstown, East Bank Demerara at approximately 5 am on Saturday.
Haymer managed to escape from the crash unharmed although his car was wrecked. There were no other occupants of the car and no one else was injured.
