A man was yesterday remanded to prison after being charged with killing another man in Essequibo as part of a robbery.
It is alleged that on June 18, 2013 at the Far Back Backdam, Cuyuni, Essequibo, Colin O’Neil Blair murdered Royston Sylvester Greenidge, called ‘Roy,’ in the course or furtherance of a robbery.
O’Neil was not required to enter a plea when the charge was read to him by Magistrate Judy Latchman, before whom he appeared. No details other than those stated in the charge were presented in court.
O’Neil’s next hearing is scheduled for September 10, when the case will be called at Court One.
Last September, the police had put out a wanted bulletin for the man.
