Local singer and actress Delma Lynch will be remembered as humble and unselfish, her daughter said yesterday.
Lynch, 67, died on Tuesday.
“She never esteemed herself the way people did,” said Lynch’s daughter, Audrey Paul. She described her mother as a kind person, who reached out irrespective of who persons were. “I wish that I could emulate the life she lived,” Paul added.
According to Paul, Lynch, who loved to cook, was the happiest whenever she was around her four children and ten grandchildren.
Lynch entertained Guyanese for decades with various bands, such as Mischievous Guys, and acted in two local movies produced by Signal Studio Productions director Bonny Alves.
Lynch will be remembered for her recent hits like “50/50 Love” and “Start Over,” as well as her role in “The Will To Live” and “Right Choices” both produced by Alves.
