A police constable is now hospitalised after he was shot on his arm early yesterday morning at Eccles, East Bank Demerara.
According to a police press release, Leroy English was shot in his right arm and foot at about 12:30am. The police, in a press statement, further mentioned that investigations are being conducted into the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
When Stabroek News contacted English, he declined to shed any light on the circumstances surrounding the shooting. “You can ask the Police Welfare,” the injured man told this publication.
