A fiery spell of fast bowling by Darshan La Rose guided Police to a comprehensive victory over Everest yesterday as action in the Georgetown Cricket Association (GCA)/Noble House Seafood’s second division two-day competition continued over the weekend. Playing at the Gandhi Youth Organisation (GYO) ground, La Rose claimed 5-31 from 7.5 overs to restrict Everest to 75-9 innings closed in their second innings.
The fast bowler made life tough for the Everest batsmen as he bowled with pace and accuracy throughout. He received support from all-rounder Troy Benn who collected 3-30 from eight overs while the only other bowler to be used by Police during Everest’s second turn at the crease, Kelvin Leitch, collected the other wicket.
