The UG Wolves mauled the GDF ruggers 48-nil while the Ryan Gonsalves led Hornets and Theo Henry’s Caribs played to a 24 all stalemate when the GRFU 10s league continued on Saturday at the National Park.
Led by speedy winger, Godfrey Broomes (three tries and two conversions), the UG wolf pack stunningly upset the rugged militia men who defeated Caribs 52-34 last week.
UG’s captain, Rondell McArthur and Fabien Joseph supported Broomes with two tries apiece while Oise McKenzie also recorded a try to add another five points.
Lance Adonis chipped in with two conversions to complete UG’s schooling of the soldiers.
In the Hornets/Caribs fixture, workhorse Christopher Singh (two tries) Delroy Gordon (one try) Jason Tyrell (one try) and Gonzalves (two conversions) were the scorers for the Hornets who lead the points table.
Henry (two tries and two conversions), Charles O’Neil (one try) Grantley Williams (one try) were the players on the scoresheet for the Caribs who are yet to register a win.
