The Director of Public Prosecutions today denied that she had a conversation on Sunday with the man who has levelled sex abuse allegations against House Speaker Raphael Trotman.
In a statement, Shalimar Ali-Hack referred to an enquiry today from a Guyana Times reporter as to whether there had been a conversation on Sunday with Johnny Welshman during which a certain commitment had been given. She said that there had been no such conversation.
The statement from her office added that Welshman submitted a complaint to her office this afternoon shortly after midday.
Trotman has strongly denied the claims made by Welshman and has obtained a court injunction preventing him from repeating these allegations.
