The headless corpse that was found in a drain of a cemetery at Cummings Lodge, East Coast Demerara by on Monday remains unidentified.
Police Crime Chief Leslie James yesterday told Stabroek News that the body still remains unidentified and that the investigation into the discovery was continuing.
The body was found in the drain of a cemetery on a street called “Atlanticville short cut,” with a head believed to be that of the body nearby.
A gang of weeders initially thought the remains were those of a dog but they quickly changed their minds upon closer examination. A resident told Stabroek News that long bones resembling that of a human body convinced the men, who subsequently called the police.
