Multi-million dollar tenders were opened yesterday for the provision of security services to the Ministry of Education.
The bids, divided into twenty lots, were opened at the National Procurement and Tender Administration Board (NPTAB) Georgetown.
Seven companies submitted bids and these included a security firm that has been at the centre of allegations of having stolen items found at its office.
The names of the companies and their respective bids are shown in the table below.
With the procuring entity being the Office of the Prime Minister bids were also received for the supply of cables, switches and other related items for the installation of 6,000 solar home systems for distribution to hinterland residents.
The Office of the Prime Minister also received bids for the construction of a main office in Region 10.
The same entity saw tenders being received for the procurement of hardware for transmission and distribution network upgrade at Linden also in Region 10.
Meanwhile the Guyana Water Inc received bids for the supply and installation of three 625 KVA diesel generators.
Office of the President received a lone bid for the provision and maintenance and cleaning services of the E- Government’s Long Term Evolution (LTE) sites.
