Yellow-shouldered bats (Sturnira sp) are not too picky about what they eat or where they find accommodation. They are voracious fruit, insect and pollen eaters (and as a result are efficient dispersers of seeds and important pollinators of plants) and will roost in large trees, among palm leaves as well as in caves. This yellow-shouldered bat participated in a survey at Turtle Mountain, Iwokrama; judging from his expression, he can’t wait to get back to finding dinner!
