Footballers will invade the Selena Beach Resort today when the inaugural Nebula Promotions Ballers at the Beach one day football tournament kicks off from 17:00hrs.
The event which features Georgetown based teams competing over a five aside knock-out format, will be contested for over $200,000 in cash and prizes.
In the opening matchup, Tiger Bay led by the likes of Deon Alfred, Solomon Austin and Rensford Coleridge will face off with Broad Street and their trio of Jimmy Gravesande, Jamal Cozier and Rocky Gravesande.
The second matchup will witness the Andrew Murray Jr. led heavyweights Albouystown matching skills with the always capable West Front Road and their family affair of Randolph Wagner, Jamal Pedro, Daniel Nagaloo and Darren Benjamin.
The third matchup of the first round will then pit Alexander Village marshalled by the veteran quartet of Shem Porter, Leon Yaw, Delon Williams and Quincy Bourne against the star studded East La Penitence based unit Sparta Boss led by the trident of Devon Millington, Eusi Phillips and Sheldon Shepherd.
In the final matchup of the round, the Omallo Williams and Okeene Fraser led Leopold Street unit will engage the ever formidable Back Circle outfit and their trio of Andy Duke, Wayne Wilson and Daniel Favourite.
Upon the conclusion of the first round, the respective winners will then progress to the semi-final stage of the tournament. Following the end of the semi-final stage, the two winners of that round will then battle in the grand finale.
