Armed bandits yesterday carted off millions of dollars in cash and gold after robbing a Mahdia businessman.
According to the police, Lejum Jhang, 62, of 111 Miles, Mahdia was robbed by four masked men while in the process of closing his business. Three of the four men were armed with firearms.
The men reportedly entered Jhang’s business at about 21:45 hrs where they held him at gunpoint before robbing him of $3 million cash along with one ounce of raw gold.
The bandits managed to escape.
Investigations are in progress, the police said.
