A woman was yesterday placed on a bond to keep the peace after facing a charge that she assaulted her boyfriend’s mother.
Melinda Rampersaud, 23, was brought before Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry charged with assaulting Jasmattie Sudin.
Rampersaud, an Edward B Beharry employee, pleaded not guilty to the charge. Jasmattie Sudin and her son, Nankumardeo Sudin, who is in a relationship with Rampersaud, were also charged with assaulting each other but they were absent from court.
They were placed on a bond to keep the peace and their next court appearance will be October 27.
