A construction worker was on Monday released on bail after he denied stealing a woman’s mobile phone.
Orandel Anderson, 29, of Block X Diamond, East Bank Demerara, pleaded not guilty to the charge that on September 26, at Central Rupununi, he stole a cell phone, valued at $35,000, from owner Veronica Peters.
The unrepresented man was granted $50,000 bail and his next court date was set for December 1, when the matter will be called at the Lethem Magistrate’s Court.
