Transparency Institute Guyana Inc (TIGI) yesterday said it notes with interest the continuing and sometimes defamatory attacks on Dr Anand Goolsarran which have been published through anonymous and other letters in the Guyana Chronicle and the Guyana Times with regard to his recent resignation as president of the institute.
“TIGI wishes to reiterate that Dr Goolsarran’s resignation was not unexpected but was in keeping with a prior commitment to an assignment overseas; information that he provided well in advance at TIGI’s 2014 Annual General Meeting and expressly outlined in our press release published on September 2014,” it said in a press release.
