These little sheath-tailed bats (Sp Cormura or Peropteryx) typically roost in tree hollows in moist lowland forests. This pair was relaxing after being caught, weighed and measured during a wildlife survey. Sheath-tailed bats live in small groups of 4 or 5 with only one female in the group and are most active at dusk and just before dawn. They are insectivores and forage under open the canopy.
