Unique Arts, a group of five graduates from the E R Burrowes School of Art, made its debut at last weekend’s GuyExpo showcasing ceramics, drawings and paintings.
Manning the booth when this newspaper visited was Sheliza Rampersaud, one of the five artists, who said that their whole aim is to showcase local talent and to encourage persons to get on board.
“We realized that from previous expos that there hasn’t been much art displays, so we’ve decided to come out and showcase our talent and add some local art to GuyExpo,” Rampersaud said.
Rampersaud also said that art should not only been seen as a talent but also as a language.
The graduate also said that Unique Arts is planning to make it an “annual thing” at GuyExpo.
