(Trinidad Express) The official vehicle of Attorney General Anand Ramlogan was involved in a crash outside the South Academy for the Performing Arts (SAPA) in San Fernando last night, shortly before the official opening of the V111 Americas Competitiveness Forum.
The Toyota Prado, occupied by Ramlogan and his security detail, collided with a four door pick-up truck on the Rienzi Kirton Highway at around 8 pm. Ramlogan’s vehicle overturned.
The AG and his wife Nalini were treated by doctors at SAPA. Two members of his security detail, who were in the vehicle, complained of pain and taken to hospital for treatment .
The driver of the second vehicle was also uninjured. The crash delayed the official opening of the ACF at the SAPA, which Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar attended.
National Security Minister Gary Griffith was at the crash site along with fire and police officers. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
