Dear Editor,
I am concerned, as indeed the entire population should be, that because fever is one of the more obvious symptoms of both chikungunya and ebola, there could be a delay in the diagnosis of the deadly ebola virus until it’s too late to prevent an epidemic.
It would be useful if a public information health campaign were mounted to put communities across Guyana on alert for what to look out for and how best to cope.
To set our minds at ease, it would also be useful for the general public to be brought up-to-date regarding steps being taken to prepare for ebola.
Yours faithfully,
David Yhann
