Tomorrow, the nation’s top trotters will be competing at the Kennard’s Memorial Turf Club for cash and stakes in the PPP/C President’s Cup.
The meet will have in excess of $7M up for grabs with entries swelling to over 70 so far for the 10-race fixture.
The highlight of the event will be the feature A and lower event, for a first prize of $1.5M and trophy over one mile.
With entries such as Score’s Even, Treacle, California Strike, Red and Lovely, Jack in My Style and others, termites will be in for a treat.
Other events carded are for the D3 non winners for 2014 and E3 and Lower for a winning stake of $600,000 over 1400M, F3 and lower, the J3 and lower, the G3 non winners for 2014, the two year old Guyana and West Indies Bred horses, two-year old Guyana bred, the ‘I’ and lower, K and L and the J1 and lower.
The track is said to be in very good condition and turfites are expected to experience an entertaining day of racing. Additional attractions will also add to the entertainment.
Yesterday, the champion’s jockey trophy from The Trophy Stall was handed over to the race organizers.
