The Georgetown Football Association (GFA) under the Stag Beer brand, will be hosting a 16-club Futsal tournament at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall from Saturday November 1st-22nd.
The event, which was last held at the venue in 2011 and won by Fruta Conquerors, will feature only teams under the GFA umbrella competing for over $500,000 in cash and prizes. The competing teams are Alpha United, Beacons FC, Bk Western Tigers, Blackpearl FC, Flamingo FC, Fruta Conquerors FC, Georgetown Football Club (GFC), Guyana Defence Force (GDF), Guyana Police Force (GPF), Houston Stars FC, Northern Rangers FC, Pele FC, Riddim Squad FC, Sunburst Camptown, Renaissance FC and Santos FC.
Winners of the event will pocket $250,000 and the championship trophy while runners-up will collect $150,000 and the respective accolade. Teams finishing in the third and fourth positions will walk away with $100,000 and $50,000 correspondingly.
