(Jamaica Gleaner) The leader of the Trinidadian muslim group Jamaat Al Muslimeen, Yasin Abu Bakr, has been denied entry into Jamaica.
Abu Bakr reportedly travelled to Kingston earlier yesterday on a Caribbean Airlines Flight but was not allowed to leave the airport.
An airport official said Abu Bakr became boisterous after he was refused entry.
He is to be escorted back to Trinidad and Tobago.
Local immigration officials have confirmed that an individual was denied entry at the Norman Manley International Airport yesterday.
On Friday July 27, 1990, members of the Jamaat Al Muslimeen attempted to overthrow the government of Trinidad and Tobago.
