Dear Editor,
I can just imagine Mr Rafiq Khan’s response if he was told that the Guyana Post Office Corporation would honour him on a stamp.
No matter how many awards and accolades he received, Mr Khan was genuinely humbled by each and every honour. To him, it meant people appreciated what he loved doing so much – radio broadcasting.
He became one of the most influential radio broadcasters. His voice spans genres and generations. He left a lasting impact on people’s lives. He’s a true radio icon. It would be a great pleasure if the Guyana Post Office creates a stamp honouring Mr Rafiq Khan and his legacy. I know Mr Rafiq Khan would be proud and excited.
Yours faithfully,
Mark Lewis
