The family of Trecia Lindon, a Mocha mother of two who has been missing since Saturday, is seeking the public’s help to locate the woman.
According to Orlihga Dublin, the woman’s common-law partner, Lindon, 27, of Lot 41 Nelson Street, Mocha has never gone missing from home before.
Lindon, he noted, suffers from constant nervous breakdowns.
The man explained that on Saturday he returned home from work but Lindon had not been at home at the time. However, their two children, aged one and three,
came home by themselves moments after his arrival. Dublin added that upon enquiring he learnt that Lindon had been at her sister’s despite the other woman not being home at the time.
Dublin further said that he only began to worry about his wife when night came and she had not yet returned home. He was unable to go in search of her because he was forced to stay with the children, he said.
“I had the two children to look after,” the man said. He went on, “I was busy with them, you know, trying to feed them and so.”
On Sunday, Dublin said, he realised that his wife could not be found anywhere. He began his search that afternoon, opting to leave the children with his mother in Sophia. From his searches Dublin learnt that Lindon was last seen in the vicinity of the National Stadium. However, his searches in the area were futile. His continued efforts in Georgetown and other areas and communication with Lindon’s friends and family also bore no fruit.
According to Dublin, he eventually made his way to the Mocha Police Outpost on Wednesday for help. Since then, he has heard nothing about his wife.
“It seems like it’s just me alone searching right now. The children grieving, so I got to do something,” he said.
Dublin explained that his wife has been suffering from nervous breakdowns all of her life; he believes that it is hereditary.
Lindon was last seen in a white, long-sleeved top and a brown skirt. Anyone who has information about her whereabouts can contact her family on 695-5310 or 611-2166. Persons are also urged to make contact with the nearest police station.
