The biennial National Conference of the Alliance For Change (AFC) which was to be held on October 25th has been deferred as the party’s no-confidence motion against the government is still to be debated.
The AFC yesterday said it was anticipated that the no-confidence motion would have commenced being debated either this week or at latest next week.
However, the AFC said that due to circumstances beyond its control it appears quite likely that this motion will only be debated either in the last week in October or sometime in November.
Several of the agenda items at the scheduled National Conference were linked to a successful passage of the no confidence vote, General Secretary David Patterson said. He added that the conference will be deferred to a time not later than the first week in December, 2014.
