Head of the Human Resources department of the PNCR, Volda Lawrence, Assistant General Secretary, Amna Ally, MP and a team travelled to Linden on Saturday to celebrate with senior citizens of the mining town in observance of senior citizens month.
A release from the PNCR said that Lawrence thanked them for their sterling contribution to the party over the years and urged the seniors to help impart some of the ideals of the party to the younger folks.
As part of the programme hampers and a hot meal were distributed to over one hundred senior citizens.
The release said that this programme was organised by the Upper Demerara- Berbice PNCR Regional Co-coordinator Sandra Adams.
