Tickets for the Shakespeare’s Globe staging of Hamlet, which will be performed at the National Cultural Centre (NCC) on Friday, have gone on sale.
The tickets, which are priced at $1,000, $1,500 and $2,000, can be purchased at the NCC. The production at the NCC is one of the stops of a two year world tour by Shakespeare’s Globe.
It is a modern re-telling of the classical tragedy written by William Shakespeare. It features a cast of 12 actors, who will each be playing multiple roles throughout the tour.
The travelling theatre group is travelling with a portable set built for the production and it is stored in bespoke trunks that are also a part of the set.
This newspaper has also learnt that the group has sketched out a detailed lighting plan and sound plan and will be assisted by the NCC staff members with the technical aspects of the production.
The world tour started on April 23rd, coinciding with Shakespeare’s 450th birth anniversary.
