Dear Editor,
I read Friday’s Stabroek News where a kind lady wrote of dogs being mistreated.
I felt so sad, thinking of how those poor dogs must have felt. It is my hope that someday people see animals for what they are especially those that are kept for pets. I am not fortunate to have my own dog but I have a cat named Kate and I wouldn’t dream of ever mistreating her. Animals are loving, kind and are humans’ most faithful friends. I would like to be trained to rescue animals in need of help. I am inspired by people like Ms Syeada Manbodh and Ms. Maria Rodrigues! And in the meantime while I am just a child I will continue to feed the strays that come by our house and help my grandma care her dogs.
Yours faithfully,
