Home side Buxton United and BV/Triumph United recorded come-from-behind victories when the East Coast Football Association (ECFA) Stag Beer senior league continued on Sunday at the Buxton Community ground.
Buxton United defeated Sparta United by a 6-1 score line while BV/Triumph defeated home side Buxton Stars by a 3-1 score line.
In the opening matchup between Buxton United and Sparta United, Clive Andries levelled the score line in the 55th minute for Buxton United after Sparta had taken the early lead in the seventh minute through a Jamal Woodman effort.
Andries would then give Buxton United the lead for the first time in the fixture through a 68th minute strike. It would then become 3-1 as Keoma Sullivan netted in the 73rd minute. Denver Dennis would then increase their lead by three goals as he netted two minutes later.
Andries would then seal his second-half, hat-trick compliments of a 78th minute strike. The win would then be sealed in the 80th minute as Andries completed his helmet trick. In the feature contest, Buxton Stars took the early initiative as Cubina Watson found the back of the net in the 11th minute.
However, their lead would be short-lived as BV/Triumph equalized six minutes later compliments of a Deshane Blenman effort. Grabon Blenman would then push BV/Triumph into the lead as he netted in the 60th minute.
The score line would then be completed as veteran midfielder Quacey Price netted seven minutes onward. The action is slated to continue on Saturday 25th at the Victoria Ground with a single matchup between Victoria Kings and Sparta United.
On Sunday at the Buxton ground, BV/Triumph will faceoff with Golden Stars from 14:00hrs while the Buxton derby will commence at 16:00hrs when Buxton United tackles Buxton Stars.
