Police have arrested four suspects in connection with the Delhi Street shooting, which led to the killing of Electrical Engineer Abdool Saleem in front of his home.
Saleem, 23, of Delhi Street, Prashad Nagar, was confronted by three men who apparently attempted to rob him as he was about to enter his premises around 4 am on Sunday. He had just exited a taxi, when he was shot and killed.
In a press statement, Police Public Relations Officer Ivelaw Whittaker said police had arrested a suspect in Sophia on Wednesday, while further investigations led to the arrest of three other men in the same area. Two unlicensed .32 pistols with 21 rounds were recovered. The four men are currently in police custody assisting with the investigations.
