Rivals Demerara Cricket Club (DCC) and Police Sports Club will clash today and tomorrow at the DCC ground in Queenstown in the semi-final of the Georgetown Cricket Association’s Noble House Seafood’s second division competition as the GCA resumes its first and second division competitions.
Starting time is 10.30am.
The DCC/Police Sports Club match will, however, be the only second division match to be played this weekend.
However, in the GCA, Hades World Incorporated division one competition, the Guyana Defence Force will oppose Police Sports Club at Camp Ayanganna while Everest Cricket Club will oppose Transport Sports Club at Camp Road. These two matches will get underway at 9.30am.
In the New Building Society (NBS) second division limited overs competition, in Zone A, Everest C.C will oppose Third Class C.C at the Muslim Youth Organisation ground while Malteenoes S.C will play Sophia C.C at the Malteenoes Sports Club ground, Thomas Lands. Both matches will commence at 10.30am today.
Tomorrow, the Zone B matches will be played from 10.30am with Muslim Youth Organisation playing Gandhi Youth Organisation at the MYO ground while Malteenoes SC will oppose Diplomats at the Malteenoes SC ground, Queenstown.
Meanwhile in Berbice, the 2014 Carib Beer first-division T20 competition will continue this weekend with all of the three play-off matches bowling off at 13:30hrs across venues in the Ancient County.
At the Bush Lot ground, West Berbice will oppose Universal Solutions Bermine with Joseph Simon and Moses Ramphal the umpires while Young Warriors and Rose Hall Town Gizmos & Gadgets will clash at the Cumberland ground with Dhieranidranauth Somwaru and Clement Brusche the umpires.
There is one fixture set for tomorrow with Albion Community Centre Cricket Club opposing D/Edward at the Albion Community Development Centre ground. Omadat Samaroo and Imran Moakan are the umpires.
