At about 2030h. last night, police say that pedestrian Randolph Rodney, 72 years, of Triumph, ECD, was struck down by a motor vehicle as he was allegedly attempting to cross the road on the B/V Railway Embankment, ECD.
He was admitted to the GPHC where he succumbed while receiving medical treatment.
The driver is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
