Dear Editor,
I am writing about the problems that I am having with the National Insurance Scheme.
I was not paid my invalidity benefit from July 2010 to July 2013. The NIS office at Corriverton, Berbice asked me to see the NIS doctor in January 2011. This I did and all my medical papers were signed by the doctor. The next day I fell ill and was hospitalized at Balwant Singh Hospital. I did not receive any benefit from that claim.
From September 2013 to present I did not receive my pension. I sent all my documents requested by the NIS office to Georgetown.
During this time I wrote to the following:
Roger Luncheon, Chairman NIS
Komal Chand, Board member NIS
Public relations officer NIS
The President of Guyana
Because of my medical condition I cannot travel to Guyana.
Yours faithfully,
Bisram Shiwnarain
