“It’s been years since I competed in Guyana and I can’t wait to put on a good show in front of our home crowd,
” the speed demon mentioned in a recent interview.
“I’ve raced in North America and the level of racing is very high but the support from our local fans is what makes the sport in the Caribbean so special. I’ve missed this atmosphere and hopefully Team Guyana comes out on top.”
The duel with Kristian and his father along with the Caribbean’s fastest drivers already has fans buzzing with excitement.
The younger Jeffrey boasted he is “capable of rising to the occasion.
“My dad has a lot of experience in racing and South Dakota has been the track he spent the most time racing and preparing. It will be a big challenge as he is going to be one of the quickest guys on this track.
“It’s hard to say who is the better driver as we are both capable of rising to the occasion so let’s see who comes out on top on race day.”
Jamaica’s David Summerbell and Peter Rae, Barbados’ Stuart and Mark Maloney and Trinidad and Tobago’s Franklin Boodram are some of the high profile overseas speedsters anticipated to light the circuit ablaze. Jeffrey is relishing the opportunity of going wheel to wheel with them in 12 days.
“I treat every competitor as a threat. We have a great field this year of quality drivers and machines capable of doing well. I hope we all get our cars running reliably so we can see good wheel to wheel racing.”
